v0.37.1 (Alpha)

· 3 min read

Language work in Paraflow with order by, goal trees and with context. The broker adds service accounts and configurable system-actor lists. Paracord adds Node View — a canvas of the node with four zoom levels — and Netflow gains a live logs pane. The Python SDK moves to 3.0.

Paranet (broker 2.18.0 → 2.18.1)

  • System actors and privileged skills are configurable. PARANET_SYSTEM_ACTORS and PARANET_PRIVILEGED_SKILLS replace the built-in lists when set, so a deployment can add system actors — which now live in para rather than the broker — without a new broker build. A set value replaces the whole list, so any default you still want must be listed.
  • Fixes. An optional paranet:any no longer generates a malformed schema. A request with no partition and no parent conversation now takes its partition from the author's version pre-release tag, so requests originating from events run in the right partition.

Paraflow 3.10.0

Language

  • order by on select and foreach: select table(...) order by <col-or-var> [asc|desc], .... Local tables sort in-process; SQL backends emit ORDER BY.
  • goal tree as a right-hand side: let $x = goal tree !goal(bindings); returns the goal's plan as a nested object of {uid, name, data, state, children[], predecessors[]}.
  • with context !goal(...) { } — a with variant taking exactly one goal pattern. It queries for the goal, fails with a Match exception if more than one row matches, then loads it before running the body.
  • New built-ins: SortByString(value, property), SortByNumber(value, property), LocalDateTime(datetime, timezone).
  • Calling a built-in where a user function is expected now reports "Unexpected function X not in expression" rather than "Undefined function".

Runtime

  • Python SDK log lines are forwarded into Paraflow's logger at the level the SDK sends, tagged usercode. graphql-actor --exe (default uv) selects the Python launcher.
  • Fixes: the planner no longer panics on a closed channel at shutdown; concurrent GraphQL calls from several events no longer hang; events now have a GraphQL client of their own; a JSON-typed input is again serialised before storage.

SortByString, SortByNumber and LocalDateTime are not yet in the published Paraflow reference — the docs sync for them has not landed. The signatures above are from the 3.10.0 build.

Paracord 0.25.0

  • Node View — a canvas of the node with four view modes (Actors, Skillsets, Skills, Full), selectable as a zoom from the smallest useful diagram to everything, Actors by default.
  • Usage overlay — fades nodes with no recorded traffic, from conversation usage scanned off the node.
  • Deep links into the Ledger — a skill or actor on the canvas links to the Ledger pre-filtered to its conversations.
  • Dependency resolution — actor and skill panels list what a skill depends on and which actors on the node provide it, flagging dependencies nothing provides. A Paraflow delegate names only subject/action, so this is answerable before anything runs rather than when a conversation fails.
  • Netflow gains a logs pane fed by a second WebSocket, filterable by actor and level, with timings in the goal inspector and a new overview page showing run list, connection state and last event.

Upgrade notes

  • The Python SDK major version moves 2.1.0 → 3.0.1; the Paraflow runtime support for it shipped in v0.36.0.
